Unlike tethered systems, RST Essential Airbag Vest requires no cables or motorcycle-mounted sensors. More than 130,000 riders worldwide trust the technology, contributing over 310 million miles of riding data and 23,000 recorded falls to continuously improve crash detection performance.
In&Box analyzes rider movement 1,000 times per second and can detect frontal impacts, rear-end collisions, low-side crashes, and high-side crashes. Detection and inflation occur in less than 60 milliseconds, faster than the average human blink.
- Multiple Riding Modes: Dedicated algorithms are available for Road, Track, Adventure, Adventure Race, and Motocross riding. One riding mode is included and selected during activation.
- Multiple Protection Zones: When a crash is detected, the airbag deploys instantly to protect the thorax, abdomen, neck, and back.

- CE certification: Airbag system is tested to EN 1621-4 Level 2. Vest is certified under EU regulation (EU) 2016/425 as Class C / undergarment.

- Up to 30 hours of riding autonomy, approximately 2-hour recharge time, automatic sleep mode when not in use.
- In&Box is required and sold separately through In&Motion and can be purchased outright or through a subscription plan, reducing upfront costs.
- My In&Box App: Available for iOS and Android, allowing riders to check battery status, verify system operation, change riding modes, receive updates, manage memberships, and access account settings.
- The airbag remains fully autonomous and does not require a smartphone connection to provide protection.
